1. Data We Collect

We collect the following data to provide and improve the service:

• Account data: Email, display name (when you sign up)
• Upload metadata: Filename, file type, size, upload date (for your uploaded content)
• Usage data: App usage for analytics (e.g., crash reports) to improve stability

We do not collect your photos or videos beyond what you choose to upload. You control what you share.

2. Data Safety – Data We Collect

For transparency (and as required by app stores), we declare:

• Personal info: Email address, name – for account sign-up and profile. Required for the service.
• Photos and videos: Only what you choose to upload for storage and sharing. Stored on Cloudinary. Required when you use upload feature.
• Audio files: Only when you upload audio or record video with sound. Stored on Cloudinary.
• Files and documents: Only what you choose to upload (e.g. PDFs). Stored on Cloudinary.

We do not collect: location, financial info, health, messages, calendar, contacts, web browsing history, or device IDs for tracking. We do not sell your data.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). You can delete your data anytime: Profile → Delete account, or sherevid.com/account-delete.

3. App Permissions & Why We Use Them

Our app uses these permissions. We use them only when you use the related feature:

• INTERNET – Upload and stream content; sync with Firebase and Cloudinary.
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – Check if device is online; no user data collected.
• CAMERA – Record videos in the app to upload; only when you record and upload.
• RECORD_AUDIO – Record audio with video; only when you record and upload.
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES – Select images from gallery to upload; only what you select.
• READ_MEDIA_VIDEO – Select videos from gallery to upload; only what you select.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE – On older Android: select files/media for upload; only what you select.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE – On older Android: save downloaded files to device; no data collected.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS – Optional notifications; you can disable in device settings. Not used for tracking.

We do not access your data beyond what you explicitly choose to share.

4. How We Store Data

Your data is stored securely:

• Firebase: Account info, metadata, shared content links.
• Cloudinary: Uploaded videos, photos, and files (CDN).

Connections use HTTPS. We follow industry best practices for data security.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Firebase (Google) – authentication and database
• Cloudinary – cloud storage for media

These providers process data on our behalf under their privacy policies. We may share data when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data until you delete your account. After deletion, your data is removed from our systems within a reasonable period.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• In-app: Profile → Delete account
• Website: sherevid.com/account-delete

8. Cookies

We use cookies only for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Children’s Privacy

Sherevid is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us at support@sherevid.com.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
